Here’s our go to pasta sauce. This gourmet pasta sauce is damn near ready for eating (see our easy recipe below). Alternatively use the pasta sauce as a base for pizza, over crusty bread, a lasagna sauce, or as the tomato element for crumbed chicken or eggplant parmigiana.
Nonno’s Pasta Recipe
- 500ml pasta sauce.
- 160g dried spaghetti OR 200g dried penne.
- Extra virgin olive oil.
- Parmesan cheese for topping.
Bring a pot of water to boil and add salt and the dried pasta.
Heat sauce over a medium to high heat in a pan.
Once pasta is cooked to al dente, add a tablespoon of the starchy pasta water to the sauce, strain off the pasta. I like to add the cooked pasta to the sauce and cook for a further minute. Serve and top with a good drizzle of extra virgin olive oil (essential) and Parmesan cheese. Enjoy.

Ingredients: granny throwing tomatoes, juane Flamme tomatoes, brown onion, olive oil, salt, nutmeg, pepper, garlic, red wine vinegar, sweet paprika.
